Shunday qilib, bu fermentning ikkita substrati 2-dehidro-3-deoksi-D-glyukonat va NAD <sup id="mwFA">+</sup>, uning 3 ta oxirgi mahsuloti esa (4S) −4,6-dihidroksi-2,5-dioksogeksanoat, NADH va H <sup id="mwGQ">+</sup> hisoblanadi.

Nomenklaturasi
