This afternoon I decided to go to Featherdale Wildlife Park and take some photos. The camera club went a couple of weeks ago but I ended up not going due to other family commitments.

I spent ages just looking at this bird it is incredible. It is called a Jabiru or black necked stork. It looks almost prehistoric. This is how it looks in real life. It stands quite tall, apparently the average size is 133cm which is 4ft 4 " not something I would like to come face to face with. Apparently she is a female as males have black eyes. The colours and sheen on its feathers were quite incredible
