Nass (arabcha: نَصّ) — arabcha soʻz boʻlib, turlicha, xususan „maʼlum, aniq qonuniy buyruq“, „ilohiy farmon“[1], „belgi“[2], yozilmagan qonundan farqli ravishda „yozma qonun“[3], taqiqlovchi yoki talab qiluvchi „kanonik matn“[4], „matnli dalil“[5] kabi tarjima qilinadi.

Shialikda (Oʻn ikkilik va Ismoiliylar) nass avvalgi masʼum imom tomonidan yangi masʼum imomni belgilash jarayonini anglatadi[2].
